The RMC SafePlay™ Standard

Every applicable RMC experience follows a safety process appropriate for the equipment, activity, location, participants and conditions.

1. Pre-Event Site Assessment — The activity area must be reasonably level, appropriately sized and free of holes, rocks, glass, sharp objects, furniture, exposed roots and other identifiable hazards. RMC reserves the right to relocate, modify or decline a setup when site conditions are unsuitable. Flat, obstacle-free areas are a common industry precaution.

2. Surface Safety — Grass or other suitable recreational surfaces are preferred for wet activities when appropriate. Hard, painted, polished or unusually slippery surfaces receive additional consideration and may require RMC-approved non-slip protection or may be rejected altogether. Foam and water can make surfaces slippery.

3. Proper Footwear — For applicable wet experiences, RMC recommends secure water shoes or other footwear with appropriate traction. Flip-flops, high heels and loose footwear should not be worn in active foam zones. Socks alone should never be worn in a wet play zone. Wet socks can significantly reduce traction.

4. No Running, Pushing or Rough Play — Participants must follow RMC activity rules. Running, pushing, wrestling, intentional collisions, dangerous horseplay and diving into foam are prohibited where applicable. Similar restrictions are used by established foam operators specifically to reduce slips and collisions.

5. Adult Supervision — Children must remain appropriately supervised. An RMC attendant operating equipment does not replace the responsibility of parents, guardians or designated responsible adults to supervise children in their care.

6. RMC Activity Attendants — When included with the selected RMC experience, trained RMC personnel monitor equipment operation and the designated activity area, reinforce safety rules and may temporarily stop an activity when unsafe behavior or conditions are observed.

7. Safe Foam Levels & Visibility — During applicable foam experiences, RMC personnel control foam production and monitor the activity area. Some professional operators specifically manage foam depth and floor visibility during events.

8. Electrical & Water Separation — Electrical connections, cords and powered equipment are positioned and protected according to the requirements of the equipment and kept away from participant wet-play areas whenever practicable. Industry guidance specifically identifies electrical separation as an important foam-party precaution.

9. Equipment Inspection — RMC equipment is inspected as appropriate before operation. Equipment showing damage or a condition that could affect safe operation will not knowingly be placed into service until corrected.

10. Weather Monitoring — Outdoor activities may be delayed, suspended, modified or canceled when lightning, severe weather, excessive winds, heavy rain or other conditions make continued operation unsafe.

Participant Protection

Depending upon the experience, RMC may recommend or make available additional protective items.

Protective goggles may be used during foam, bubble or other applicable activities, particularly for younger participants or guests with sensitive eyes. Goggles are already recommended as an optional precaution by multiple foam-party operators.

Knee and elbow protection may be recommended for particular activities or surfaces but is not ordinarily required for normal foam or bubble play.

Traction footwear is considered more important than general padding for wet activities because preventing a fall is preferable to attempting to reduce injury after a fall.

Health & Personal Considerations

Participants and parents/guardians should consider whether an activity is appropriate based upon age, physical ability and individual circumstances.

Guests with known allergies, significant skin sensitivities, respiratory concerns or other conditions that could be affected by foam, physical exertion or outdoor conditions should use appropriate caution and seek medical advice when necessary. Foam formulations vary, so RMC should maintain the Safety Data Sheet for the exact product it actually uses rather than making blanket claims about all foam products. Parents & Guardians: Please Help Us Keep It Safe

Before participating, please make sure children:

• understand the activity rules;

• are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear;

• remove items that could create an unnecessary hazard when appropriate;

• remain within the designated activity area;

• do not run, push, wrestle or engage in dangerous horseplay;

• follow instructions from RMC personnel;

• take breaks when tired or overheated; and

• immediately report an injury, equipment problem or unsafe condition.

RMC Stop-Play Authority

Safety takes priority over keeping the party running.

RMC personnel may pause or stop an activity because of unsafe participant behavior, equipment concerns, deteriorating surface conditions, weather, excessive crowding or another condition that RMC reasonably believes creates an unacceptable risk.

Activities resume when the condition can be reasonably corrected.

Safety Is a Shared Responsibility

RMC provides equipment, operating procedures and reasonable safety precautions appropriate for the selected experience.

Parents, guardians, event hosts and participants also play an important role by following instructions, supervising children appropriately and immediately bringing unsafe conditions to the attention of RMC personnel.
